Chrissy Teuscher, RVT, Online Learning Programs Manager

Chrissy Teuscher was introduced to Shelter Medicine practices in 2011 while caring for the school’s colony animals at Cosumnes River College during her time in the RVT program. This experience sparked her passion for Shelter Medicine, shaping the focus of her studies and career. In the summer of 2012, while still a student, she was hired as an intern by Dr. Cynthia Delany at Yolo County Animal Services. Chrissy earned her Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in December 2013.

Throughout her career, Chrissy has gained extensive experience in Shelter Medicine, serving in roles such as:

Beyond refining her own skills in animal care, Chrissy has developed a talent for coaching others, taking pride in supporting the growth of volunteers, new employees, and veterinary students. Her broad experience within the animal shelter environment provides her with a unique understanding of the diverse roles essential for a successful shelter operation. Chrissy aims to leverage her expertise and passion for teaching to continue contributing to the Shelter Medicine field and its ongoing improvement.
