Jenna joined the UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program as a Lead Registered Veterinary Technician in October 2022. Her work focuses on patient care and training UC Davis veterinary students on efficiently running a high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter clinic. She specializes in facilitating trap-neuter-return procedures for community cats in Yolo County and surrounding areas in Northern California.

Jenna has always been passionate about working with animals-from dog walker to lead feline caretaker at the first cat café in America in Oakland, California. Her career in veterinary medicine began in 2017 after attending Carrington College to receive her Associate’s Degree in veterinary technology. She obtained her license as a Registered Veterinary Technician shortly after graduating in 2019. She quickly developed an interest in surgical assisting and anesthesia. Her love for the shelter medicine field began at the Sacramento SPCA spay/neuter clinic in 2020, where she became particularly interested in Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs for community cats.

In her spare time, Jenna enjoys hiking, weightlifting, and running. She also adores spending time with her shelter pets, Dante, Bo, and Pierogi.
