Apply now for the KSMP Shelter Learniverse Shelter Care Specialist Certification program starting October 21!

Offered by the Shelter Learniverse as part of Maddie’s® Million Pet Challenge, this certification program is designed to help provide training, elevate skills, and provide professional development for dedicated shelter team members, including animal care attendants/technicians, behavior/training staff, adoptions staff, intake staff, veterinary assistants, and other frontline workers.

Gain expertise in general shelter operations, medical care, population management, and behavior, training, and enrichment. Broadening staff knowledge and training in care and operations helps address access to care challenges in shelters, even when resources are limited and veterinarian and RVT shortages are widespread. Certification is currently free, #ThanksToMaddie!

This program is most relevant for individuals working in public shelters or private shelters with municipal contracts. Enrollment is limited; applicants from these shelter types will be prioritized for this session.
